You have 3 weeks to complete each project:
This course is designed for you to work independently. When you need help, please ask for it. If you don't ask for help, I assume that you are doing okay. If you ever need to meet with me when you are not in class, please email me at [email protected] so that we can set up a Google Meet.
Project 1:
You are designing your own logo with a business card, letter head, and envelope. Think about what image you want to portray. Look through the thousands of beautifully designed logos and business cards that are on Google. Which ones are you more attracted to? Do you like clean and simple? Bold and flashy? It's time for you to start seeing design as an artform. Everything that goes into design is a very meticulous, well thought out product (from the fonts that are used to the paper that the design is printed on). Grids will forever rule your world.
Part A of this project is to find 3 logos/business cards that you LOVE. Send the 3 to me in Google Classroom.
Part B of this project is to sketch out ideas (by hand) what you are thinking for your design. Your design should be incorporated into your 3 final mini products.
Part C get going with your design in Photoshop!
Project 2:
Design your "resume." I know that you don't have a lot of experience yet, but design your resume as if you have completed college already. This should tie into your logo and letterhead. Check spelling with spellcheck. Use the space carefully. THINK GRID! Don't be afraid to research some pretty beautiful resumes out there. Use them as guides only.
Resume should/could include:
Name
Job title seeking (Graphic Designer)
Email
Phone
Website
About Me
Education
Experience
Achievements
Skills

Project 3:
Design your own website (on a free platform such as Weebly.com or Google). This will be your own website that will showcase your own artwork/portfolio of works. This should line up with your overall logo and image that you created in Project 1. research some graphic design portfolio websites to find out what sections you would like to include.
